[Albums You Should Love] Thundercat – “Drunk”

Thundercat released a new album called, “Drunk” on February 24th. He’s worked with Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Terrace Martin, and many other. The album features Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa; also the legends, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. One of the most naturally talented musicians/producers (bassist) you’ll ever hear. So many adventurous transitions going into “Lava Lamp”. A continuation of mellow vibes with songs like “Friend Zone” and “Them Changes” with a great sample of the Isley Brothers’ “Footsteps in the Dark”. This album is a eclectic—easy flowing—humorous tracks with instrumentation reminiscence of 70’s Doobie Brothers. Also, dream like sequences of animated funk planet of wayward impaired stories that wonderfully work together in a conceptual way.

Drunk is available in stores now; also available for purchase on all digital outlets.
